Fourth of July is coming up, and I thought I would try making some festive treats. This Fourth of July parfait if filled with sweetness and is perfect for this warm holiday. It is super easy to make, and very delicious. I look forward to reading your comments!

Things you will need:

Glass cup

Strawberries

Vanilla yogurt

Blueberries

Instructions for Parfait:

  1. Take a glass and place some sliced strawberries on the bottom
  2. Next, take the vanilla yogurt and layer it on top
  3. Finally, take the blueberries and place on top
  4. Enjoy!!!

Fourth of July Cupcakes🎇

The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays, because it’s when all of the family gets together. There are a variety of recipes that can be made from appetizers to desserts. This holiday, I decided to get festive and try making Fourth of July cupcakes. These cupcakes are super easy to make especially for the Fourth of July. I look forward to reading your comments!

Makes approximately 9-12 cupcakes

Things you will need:

1 box of French Vanilla cake mix

16 oz. of vanilla frosting

Red and blue food coloring

Cupcake pan

Muffin cups

3 bowls

Instructions for cupcakes:

  1. Bake cupcakes as directed on box until toothpick comes out clean
  2. Pull out of oven and let it cool
  3. Place cupcakes on a plate or a cake container

Instructions for frosting:

  1. Split the frosting between 3 bowls
  2. In one bowl, take the red food coloring and add as many drops as needed until the right consistency of red.
  3. In the next bowl, take the blue food coloring and add a few drops until the right consistency of blue.
  4. Take your red icing and spread over the cupcakes you want red
  5. Next, take the white icing and spread over the cupcakes you want white
  6. Finally, take the blue icing and spread over the cupcakes you want blue
  7. Enjoy!!!

Country Spirit in Henniker NH

Country Spirit Restaurant and Tavern is a family owned bar and grille located in Henniker, NH right off Route 202 highway. Customers have the option to sit in the dining room, the tavern, or outside on the covered patio on a nice day. The food is reasonably priced and they have great service. They have a raw bar and is well known for their Oyster Rockefeller appetizer and prime rib dinners, which are delicious. They offer a variety steaks, pasta, seafood and specials. They have a tavern menu, lunch menu as well as a dinner menu. For the main course, my favorite was the tavern steak tips served with mashed potatoes, and for dessert, I enjoyed the double chocolate cheesecake. Best cheesecake I’ve had in a while. I definitely recommend trying it. Finally, customers who go to Country Spirits will find the atmosphere very comfortable, with rope lighting, a variety of seating options, and an outdoor patio area if you bring your dog. The service is always good everytime I go. I haven’t tried their brunch yet, which they offer on Sunday’s from 10 am-2 pm. Top 5 things to do in Faneuil Hall

When visiting Boston, Faneuil Hall is an excellent location for shopping and eating. It has a variety of stores and restaurants arranged in three long historic buildings of the marketplace center. In the north market, visitors will find stores such as Ghirardelli Chocolate, Newbury Comics, Best of Boston, and Sunglasses Hut. The south market has designer stores including Anne Taylor, The Black Dog, Urban Outfitters, Coach, and Victoria Secret. Additional stores visitors will find in the Faneuil Hall marketplace include American Eagle, The Gap, and Sephora. Even though I loved visiting all of the stores, my favorites were Sephora, Ghirardelli Chocolate, and Newbury Comics. In Newbury Comics, customers can find everything from posters, comic books, CD’s and vinyl’s from artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Charlie Puth, Elvis Presley, Harry Styles, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Twenty One Pilots, The Beatles, Niall Horan, and the Rolling Stones. Prices were a little high in Faneuil Hall, but relatively reasonable. They also had a variety of restaurants in Faneuil Hall including Hard Rock Café, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood & Steaks, Cheer’s, Durgin-Park, Athem Kitchen & Bar and Zuma Tex-Mex Grill. They have many bar’s to choose from as well. Dick’s Last resort, Ned Devine’s Irish Pub, Mija Tequila Bar, and the Hideout Comedy Club are a few options to choose from. One of my favorite restaurants that I highly recommend when visiting the Faneuil Hall area is The Salty Dog Oyster Bar and Grill. This restaurant is in the center of Faneuil Hall and gets their seafood fresh every morning. They serve lunch and dinner with a variety of seafood such as oysters & shrimp. The atmosphere on the patio is full of activity and gave me a chance to watch the entertainment by the street performers while I waited for my meal. My favorite was the calamari appetizer. The fresh seafood bake was also very good, but I found it a little too oily. My favorite dessert location was Joey’s Gelato, at the end of the marketplace. Stromma Dinner Cruise in Amsterdam

An amazing way to see the city of Amsterdam at night is taking a dinner cruise. Customers can choose between two different cruise lines which include Lovers Canal Cruises and Stromma Canal Tours. Lovers Canal Cruises is a little more expensive than the Stromma Canal Tours. I went on the Stromma cruise, which lasted 2 ½ hours giving customers the opportunity to enjoy Amsterdam’s famous attractions from the canal, while enjoying a four-course meal including drinks. The food that was served was very delicious from start to finish. The appetizers, second course, and dessert were all a set menu except the main course, which customers were allowed to choose between veal, salmon, or vegetable lasagna. For my main meal, I enjoyed the veal served with a potato and bok choy. I enjoyed the variety selection of desserts that included light and airy vanilla curds served with rhubarb, chocolate mousse, and a macaroon. Some of the attractions we passed on the tour included the Anne Frank House, the Westerkerk Church, A’DAM LOOKOUT Tower, Maritime Museum, and the Nemo Science Museum. The atmosphere was very calming and romantic with candlelight in the background and the rope lighting on the arched bridges. I didn’t like that the tables were crammed up next to each other on the cruise because I felt like I was eating with another couple. The customers didn’t have any privacy to talk to their loved ones, especially when the neighboring table would overhear our conversation and interrupt or join into the conversation uninvited.
