Maren Morris is an American country singer who has won multiple awards, including a Grammy. She has also toured around the UK, Ireland, and the US for her sold-out Hero tour in 2017. This past week, I went to see Maren open for Niall Horan at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, CT. I was truly amazed by her performance. She sang songs off her Hero album which included Just Another Thing, Rich, I Could Use A Love Song, How It’s Done, Second Wind, Once, 80’s Mercedes, My Church, and her latest single The Middle. Even though I loved every song she performed during the forty minutes she was on stage, my top favorites included, Rich, I Could Use A Love Song, 80’s Mercedes, My Church, and The Middle. She did a fantastic job opening for Niall. Definitely, my favorite opening that Niall has had on his tour. Maren is a very talented artist with an angelic voice. She really puts herself out there for the audience to feel her passion and emotions with a lot of energy and excitement when performing. During her performance, two of the songs she got emotional was during My Church, and The Middle. My Church was the first song to be released from her album Hero. It was also the song that she won her Grammy, and it started her career. It has continued to do well on the music charts. Finally, The Middle, which is a song she released earlier this year, has managed to reach number one on the music charts. What a tune!!!! It has more of a pop sound, whereas her songs off her Hero album have more of a country sound. I look forward to seeing her again soon!
